a. when white people have dreads, it’s 9.99/10 because they observe and want to mimic an element of black/rasta culture. rasta culture has attributed special meaning to dreads.

HOWEVER

The Fakir, Shiva worshippers, and many other cultures have dreads currently.

b. Sure, dreads can happen…

ive had long hair for years and recently i cut it off because im lazy and dont care to brush it for an hour a day. dreadlocks are an easy way to have long hair with ou t as much care…its still a lot but not as much. BUT what just kills me most is that this up there is racist. you are blatantly saying YOU ARE NOT LIKE ME and youre copying my race so i dont like you. it doesnt come down to this personnot liking dreads its the this person doesnt like dreads on white people. it comes down to race…knock it off grow up. if people can something regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation or what ever other factors let them. theres no need to be nasty and rude and attack others like this. yes i am responding in a rude and nasty way but only in response to this. i dont see things as for blacks whites asians or latinos. any  one can do anything. i dont follow and rasta movement or anything i dont smoke pot or do drugs or anything….am i against them? no i just dont like to do it myself. doesnt mean ill attack others for it…these mats of hair on my head are here because i find them aesthetically pleasing and easier to care for. i will never say someone cant do something due to race or gender or sexual orientation. i might have said things in the past but i want to move forward and i havent made such low comments in quite a long time. so now go back read what you wrote and that little bit of you that felt offended at non black people having dreads, that disgust that disdain, thats what a lot of people feel towards your liittle rant. it just showed how shallow and vapid you really are how you are unable to look past whats on the outside of people. i feel sorry but not because of youre racist view but because youre stupid enough to post it and think youre right….

Just throwing this out there.. you do not have to be a stoner, hippie, druggie, etc to have dreadlocks…

There are goths, preps, punks, emos, business people, ‘gangsta’/ ghetto, etc etc etc… people with dreadlocks.

you also do not have to be any race or culture to have them.. c:

and if you have them it does not mean you are dirty or anything..

and it does not make you a certain label.
